ACTIVITIES

We can organize all activities before your arrival, or once you are at Villa Mango.

Costa Rica, a true oasis of peace, is counted among the most beautiful of all holiday destinations. Mile upon mile of almost deserted sandy beaches stretch along the Pacific coastline, and the ever-green tropical dry forest provides shelter for a variety of flora and fauna. The abundance of species, a natural diversity, exceeds all records of the world.

The climate on the Nicoya Peninsula is characterized by a steady, year-round temperature of between 77° and 95° F (25° and 32° C).

Deserted Playa Pelada

The region of Nosara, one of Costa Rica's best protected regions, has seen more than two-thirds of its beaches designated wildlife reserves, which translates into the cleanest, most unspoiled beaches for you, and best of all, very limited development. Come discover Costa Rica 's best secret and see why others have quietly returned time and again to its breathtaking beauty.

Olive Ridley Turtles

The beach of Ostional is world famous for its "Arribadas", huge Olive Ridley turtles egg laying seasons. The nesting beach can be covered with thousands of turtles during an "arribada". Although some believe that "arribadas" may be correlated with moon phases and tides, there are turtles laying eggs at Ostional Beach throughout most of the year. And if you are lucky, you can also witness the hatching of the eggs, when cute baby turtles struggle to reach the water and continue the species.

Aerial view of the beaches of Nosara, Pelada and Guiones

Located in Costa Rica's beautiful Guanacaste province, in the Nicoya Peninsula, Nosara is approximately 100 miles west of San Jose, on the coastal road that connects Tamarindo to Samara. Unspoiled, tropical beauty is what best describes Nosara. Imagine miles upon miles of spectacular white sand beaches. This is where the very best of Costa Rica comes alive: stunning sunsets, one of the largest nesting grounds in the world for the Olive Ridley turtle, the sunniest and clearest skies in the country, birds, iguanas, monkeys, a naturalist's haven.

A little bit farther than other, more developed, Costa Rican's coastal towns, the beauty of Nosara will capture you the moment you arrive and reward your extra effort with its incomparable magic.

Explore on the jungle trails, surf in any of several world class breaks, swim in gentle coves, comb the beach for an infinite variety of shells, play in fisherman's paradise, relax in a hammock surrounded by tropical jungle where monkeys play in the trees and parrots, toucans, wild orchids, bromeliads and other exotic plants and wildlife abound.
